Tutorial by Linda Fields
Who am I kidding? Fall may be starting but I’m in Florida where we have one season – with a few Winter interruptions. Like that Florida sunshine, I’m always in the Christmas spirit and today was was no exception!

One Color or Two?
Can you tell I used only one green to ink the leaves? I was planning on using more than green but I pushed myself to see what I could do with just one. I used a blending brush to create light to dark, overlapping layers and it worked! Woohoo!

Finishing Touches
Black is an amazing color to add for that final touch to turn your project from ho-hum to wow. After edging the gift tag with Tim Holtz Distress Inks, I water misted and blotted it dry to create an aged effect. I clear embossed all the leaves, berries and sentiment for a little dimension. Though it’s not pictured here, I plan to add one more level of texture and depth with Fallen Snow paste from Tim Holtz. I can’t wait to add a little frozen love to the leaves as a final touch.
