Decorating & Design by Linda Fields
Do you love to draw? Maybe you’re a crafter? Or is painting more your style? Maybe you love it all! Whatever your passion, you need creative solutions to organize your art supplies. Welcome to this weeks’ focus on canvas storage.

Don’t Store Your Decor
Hang it up! This applies to almost all of your tools and supplies but especially your canvases. It’s fair to assume most of us don’t have enough space. You’ll start with lots of room but as your art supplies grow so too will your space shrink! It’s a terrifying thought. We keep buying more! That’s what creative thinkers do. Trying to store canvases? That is an extra challenge. Unless you hang them up!

The idea to turn my art and crafting supplies into my studio decor came out of necessity. I’ve been doing this trick, putting Harry Potter to shame, since having to create inside our tiny, walk-in closet. It was big enough for one chair. I had to roll myself out in reverse just to get out. Fun times!

I’ve come a long way since that apartment but I still deal with lack of space. Using your supplies as decor has many advantages. It can be a motivator, encouraging you to keep going. It’s a great way to see if you’re improving or not. You’ll focus easily with just a glance when working a collection, and it gives new, empty places to fill!🐇
